- Take classes in contemporary dance, Zollar technique, conditioning, movement from the African Diaspora, text, narrative and storytelling, movement and vocal improvisation, and process, partnering, and Urban Bush Women repertory.
- Learn the tools for repertory to become both the physical and emotional dancer – a dancer for a new society.
- Practice conditioning, release technique, Zollar technique, and contact and repertory work that is political and socially engaging.
- This will be an expansive workshop that leans to the philosophy of training the whole and emotional dancer.
- This workshop will culminate in a public performance of student work.

This course is designed for men and women interested in studying dance and repertory with Jawole Zollar/Urban Bush Women, one of the most visionary and internationally acclaimed choreographers and companies of New York City contemporary modern dance. The work is physical, challenging, and also political and emotionally engaging. Get excited!
